PATIENT AND PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT & ENGAGEMENT

Patient Public Involvement & Engagement (PPIE) refers to the active participation of patients, Carers, and the public in healthcare decision-making, research, and service design. This approach values the expertise and experiences of patients and the public, recognising that they are essential partners in improving healthcare quality, safety, and outcomes. The PPIE members were selected by the field team of THEHOPE project. All PPIE members of THEHOPE Project advisory group are active and educated citizens. They play a significant role in society as respected members of society. PPIE meetings are held regularly to get their consent on ongoing activities and feedback

Patient and Public Involvement & Engagement

PATIENT AND PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT AND ENGAGEMENT is argued to be an effective way of conducting research in medical sciences. This suggests working collaboratively with patients and public/community to conduct a study aimed at improving the relevancy of research. It is argued that by including the public and patients in research, we can benefit both parties in the long term. An active and constant collaboration is assured throughout the research between patients, the community/public and the researchers. The personal and first-hand experience of the patients as key stakeholders in any research helps to conduct the study more effectively. Patient and public involvement and engagement in a study help provide valuable information from the affected persons. This can lead to productive results in the study of different mental disorders
